The Partisan Design Network explores the potential of design to support individuals and groups in the struggles for their claims and aspirations. A partisan, biased or situated design approach would advocate for their interests, perspectives and desires and thereby position itself politically.
Designers and practitioners in the field of teaching can contribute to aligning design and research with real-world problems and the concerns of social actors. We propose a network of art schools, universities and other educational institutions that encourage each other in their pedagogical experiments on partisanship and socio-political engagement in design.
